I am sorry. Let me say first that I am a Nikki Haley supporter who dropped out of the Democrat party time back a few years, largely on what follows here. Trump might lie -actually, he hyperventilates and exaggerates to the point of lying, and he does it recklessly. That said, the media has lied about Biden's condition for two years, hidden and denied clips of Biden's performance and called valid footage "cheap fakes" and 'false narratives'. They set up a phony impeachment trial of Trump and persecuted and prosecuted him with equally bogus trials. (I recommend Andy McCarthy's legal analysis on such trails in the National Review). They have lied about the Hunter Biden laptop, misquoted Trump and taken his words out of context on a weekly basis. Biden tried the 'bloodbath' quote in the debate (which Trump said in reference to the auto industry) but it trailed off and might not have been heard. They have tried to take him off the ballot in two states (denied by the Supreme Court). January 6 was a heinous spectacle and many deserve punishment: however, it was neither a coup nor an insurrection (and Nancy Pelosi admitted to turning down the 10,000 National Guard troops Trump had requested). Biden has been lying about the the 'white supremacist' story of Charlottesville, and even ran on it, to 'save our democracy' (please check this story on Fact Check.org). Dems insisted Trump pass a cognitive test and threatened the Fifth Amendment when he was in office. (Trump took the test, and passed). Biden is, however you slice or deny it, completely unfit for office. And it is going to take more than calling Trump a 'liar' for we the people to get out of this mess that, I would argue, the media has largely created. As I said up top, I am pro-Ukraine, pro-Nikki by preference, and support No Labels, having dropped out of the Democratic Party a few years ago to become an independent. We can each start by caring for truth and country -and each other -over party and emotion.

I think there are two real problems nowadays: - there is the 'polarisation', not by beliefs in one side but by rejection of the other one (what puts very different people in the same 'boat'); - and there is a considerable amount of intellectuals / 'influencers' - self-credited 'watchers' of society - who innocently and naively do believe in an UTOPICAL, THEORETICAL, ROMANTIC 'democracy' that cannot be reached, didn't exist even in Greece, and conceptually cannot exist in a society made of amoral, materialistic, inconsequent men. And their 'beliefs' are contaminated by Leftist venom, what make them even blinder. Amorality, Materialism and Inconsequence are three of the main Powers driving the entire MODERNITY since 17th, 18th centuries on.

I couldn't watch the debate for more than a couple of minutes. It was like watching the public humiliation of a disabled man, being forced to run the 100 meter hurdle. I think this is the Democrats' lowest point, even beyond the corruption of the judicial system, in the years long persecution of Trump. Since Biden's condition has been obvious for a long time, you have to ask why his party was not able to find a better candidate. Were they just too distracted by their mission to destroy Trump? Is Biden just a cutout, put out there as an abuse receptacle, while the real decision making is carried out by the architects of this farce? There still seems to have been a miscalculation. Even if Trump had been eliminated, there would still have been a debate, just as humiliating, with someone. Regarding your comment that Trump is a weak destroyer of democracy, I would say that the Democrats' persecution of Trump is a blazingly red flag, indicating that our democracy is already partly rotten. I would call Trump, at least, a better than weak destroyer of rot. Of course, as in other countries and times past, you can't neglect the danger of such a person coming to power. The trick would be to know at what point the job is done, and go no further. Nothing more than is done every day, by doctors when prescribing strong, and possibly dangerous treatments.

The real question is, Are people going to vote for Biden or are they going to vote against Trump

I think Obama is the president behind the scenes, working through Jill and Joe and some trusted advisors. If that’s the case then we should expect the democrat party to resist any attempts to take Joe off the ballot. Obama controls the party and I think he wants Joe in there another 4 years. It could be worse for us. Joe could be on his own making decisions, and that would probably be a disaster. As for all the hand wringing for Ukraine over a Trump presidency cutting support for Ukraine, why is this the one thing out of Trump you believe? You call him a liar all the time, but this time he’s telling the truth? He’s just saying the opposite of whatever Biden is doing. He always does.
